Ha Noi is the historical capital of Viet Nam when it is moved from the Ly’s King palace from 1010. Ha Noi is famous with the old quarter, small street in milk flower smell and food : fried fish, noodle soup … The most wellknown places as the temple of literature – first university of Viet Nam, Sword lake, Ho Chi Minh masoleum… 

 

      Sapa is in tourist town in Lao Cai province at 1600m high in comparision with sea level . It is in the North West of Viet Nam, Only few people know that the mountainous region, bordering China and Laos in the north, is home to mystic tribes, with traditional bamboo villages, colourful markets and magnificent green rice-plateaus. Fanxipang peak is the roof-top of Viet Nam at 3.143 metre high. This discovery tour includes a visit to this fascinating region, combined with the international standard of accommodation and transport.

 

Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 01 : Airport – Ha Noi city ( D)

 

 

 

                                     

VIET RIVER TOUR ‘ s driver and guide  will pick up you  at Noi Bai international airport and transfer to the Peace hotel - 3 * or similar. Pm : Visit Sword lake, Ngoc Son temple, Ha Noi old quarter.  Dinner at the restaurant and enjoy the special Water putpet show of  Viet Nam’s North delta. Free and overnight at Galaxy hotel 3 * or similar.

 

 

 

Day 02 : Ha Noi city tour  - hue ( B,L,D)

 

 

Have breakfast. Visit the Temper of Literature – the first university of Viet Nam in 1076. Continue visiting Ho Chi Minh mosoleum with one pillar pagoda, HCM museum, Uncle Ho ‘s house on stilts and fish pond. Lunch at restaurant. Visit Tran Quoc pagoda and Ethnology museum. Dinner at restaurant. 7.30pm : Our guide will pick you up at hotel and transfer to Ha Noi railway. 8.30pm : depart from Ha Noi to Lao Cai on LC1 train.  

 

Day 03: Lao Cai - Sa Pa ( B,L,D)                                     

7.10 am : Upon arrival in Lao Cai, you will be transferred to Sapa. Sapa is a former hill station beautifully located in a valley, which is home to many ethnic hill tribes. Visit Silver Waterfall – the biggest fall in Sapa. Pm : You have the comfortable time to visit Ham Rong – Dragon’s mouth and enjoy the the large flower with many different colour. You can try the minorities people’s dress and clothes to take photos in the flower garden. Enjoy the special dance and music from boys and girls of Thai, Dao, Tay minorities people. Continue visiting Orchid garden, Clound ground and Sun’ gate, Eagle ground. Wath the hole view of Sapa from Dragon’s mouth peak. If go to Sapa on Saturday, you can join the love market with the lovely songs and the warmest pan-pipe in night drew.

 

Day 04 : Sa Pa visit – Lao Chai – Ta van (B, L,D)

In the morning, car will pick up through beautiful scenery to the settlements of Lao Chai, Ta Van, belonging to the H’Mong tribe, Red Dzao. Visit simple house of minorities people, the ancient stone ground with 1000 years, Clound Bridge.  During the hike you will have the opportunity to get to know the indigenous people with their unique customs and beliefs.  Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 05: Sa Pa visit – Ta Van – Bac Ha(B, L,D)

Morning to visity Giang Ta Chai village, arrive in Bac Ha next to China border . Visit Bac Ha on the high land is famous with very crowded market on Sunday and colourful skirts of H’mong people. Spend night at homestay of Bac Ha.

 

Day 06 : Bac Ha trekking   (B, L)

A full day of trekking is planned in this breathtaking area. Overnight in a hotel in Bac Ha.

 

Day 07 (Sunday): Bac Ha - Thac Ba lake (B, L, D)

 

 

Today we visit the lively Sunday market of Bac Ha, one of the most colourful markets in Asia! Again a wonderful opportunity to meet the locals. The Flower H’Mong predominantly inhabit the area. The Sunday market is a social gathering for all groups living in the high remote villages, here they meet, drink alcohol and trade goods. We continue our trip to Thac Ba Lake. The night is spend in a beautifully constructed stilt house down by the lakeside.

 

Day 08 : Thac Ba Lake - Ha Noi (B)

 

Thac Ba is the biggest man-made lake in Vietnam and captivates travellers with its incredible authentic beauty and more than 300 islands under lush vegetation. We participate in a boat trip and visit some Dzao and Tay villages. After lunch in a local restaurant our ‘expedition North West’ comes to an end. In the afternoon we arrive back in Hanoi.
